blackbabata is a small video channel that teaches English vocabulary to Chinese-speaking learners. Every video covers a single word: how it is spelled in syllables, how it is pronounced, what it means, and one sentence that puts it to work. The videos are published one a day and are meant to be watched in order.

Why the odd order

A word is taught once and then comes back on day 1, day 3, day 7 and day 15 — just before it would normally slip away. Review videos hide the word at first so there is a moment of real recall before the answer appears. How the schedule works.
